Method
How we cite sources
Most jewellery “inspired by history” never says by what. Ours does, on every piece, in the same format.
- 01
Start with a real object
Every piece begins with an object that exists: excavated, published and kept in a museum or on site. We never start from a theme or a famous name.
- 02
Draw it to scale
The object is drawn the way a find is recorded: to scale, with views and sections. The jewel comes from that drawing, not from a photograph.
- 03
Say what we changed
A piece for everyday wear cannot always keep the weight or size of the original. So every piece is labelled a reproduction, an interpretation or a free inspiration.
- 04
Cite the source
Each piece’s card names the reference object, culture, period, region and, where one exists, the museum and inventory number.
What we never do
- “Worn by Cleopatra”, without proof.
- Museum photographs without a licence.
- Sacred or funerary symbols of living cultures.
- Plated brass sold as “premium”.
